Automating Trades With Broker APIs in India: Angel One, Dhan, Groww, Delta Exchange

"Automated trading" usually means one thing in practice: your platform talks to your broker's API instead of you clicking buy and sell. Algo AI Trade connects to Angel One, Dhan, Groww and Delta Exchange this way, plus a built-in paper simulator for testing.

What the connection can do

Once you authorize a broker connection, the platform can place, modify and cancel orders on your behalf, within whatever execution mode and risk limits you've set for each strategy. It cannot exceed your configured position sizing or bypass your risk gates — those checks run before every order regardless of broker.

Why new connections start in paper mode

Every new live broker connection begins in paper (simulated) mode and can't place a real order until a verification run confirms the connection behaves as expected — correct symbol mapping, order acknowledgement, position sync. This catches configuration mistakes before they cost money.

Running multiple brokers

Different strategies can run on different broker connections. That's useful if you want to keep, say, an intraday strategy on one account and a swing strategy on another, or to test a new broker connection on a small strategy before moving your main strategies over.
